A Connecticut-based commodities producer and trader is taking 60,000 square feet at Vornado Realty Trust’s 330 Madison Avenue.
Glencore inked a lease for the entire seventh floor and a portion of the sixth floor in the Midtown office tower, Crain’s reported. The asking rent was in the low $70s per square foot. Glencore currently has space at RFR Realty’s 3 Stamford Plaza in Connecticut.
In 2014, a handful of financial firms signed leases in the 39-story office tower, including Abbott Downing, Tiger Legatus Management and Chimney Rock. Point72 Asset Management, the company charged with managing the Steve Cohen’s $11 billion fortune, also has offices at 330 Madison Avenue. The company, however, plans to move to 55 Hudson Yards in 2018. [Crain’s] — Kathryn Brenzel
